Five days of live instruction that follow a penetration test from planning to reporting. Classes run morning and afternoon, and the schedule can vary from class to class.
Day 1: Planning, scoping and reconnaissance

- Defining the rules of engagement and preparing the legal documents
- Footprinting and gathering intelligence, including open-source intelligence
- Evaluating human and physical vulnerabilities, including social engineering
- Planning and preparing the vulnerability scan
Day 2: Scanning, analysis and network attacks
- Scanning logical vulnerabilities across hosts, network traffic and wireless assets
- Analyzing scan results, including Nmap and the Nmap Scripting Engine
- Avoiding detection and covering tracks
- Exploiting the LAN and cloud environments
Day 3: Wireless, mobile, specialized systems and web applications
- Testing wireless networks
- Targeting mobile devices
- Attacking specialized systems, including IoT
- Web application-based attacks, including session and injection attacks
Day 4: System hacking, scripting and reporting
- Performing system hacking with remote access tools and analyzing exploit code
- Scripting and software development for penetration testing, including automation
- Leveraging the attack: testing credentials, moving through the system and maintaining persistence
- Communicating during the engagement
- Summarizing the components of a penetration test report
Day 5: Remediation, follow-up and exam readiness
