What Is CompTIA Security Plus Certification?
CompTIA Security+ is a widely recognized baseline cybersecurity certification. It validates the core skills needed to assess an organization’s security posture, secure hybrid environments (cloud, mobile and IoT), follow the laws and policies that apply to security work, and identify, analyze and respond to security events and incidents.
Our Security+ certification training is built for IT and security professionals who want the focused preparation a Security+ Boot Camp provides: five live days of instruction and hands-on labs, with an expert instructor who connects the material to your experience.
Security+ Certification Requirements
CompTIA lists no formal prerequisite for Security+. CompTIA recommends about two years of experience in a security or systems administrator role. You do not need to meet that recommendation to register for the exam.

Security+ Training Options: Boot Camp and Online Course
Not all Security+ courses are the same, and the quality of exam prep varies widely. Many hand you a roadmap and leave you to learn the rest alone. We believe Certification Academy offers the best value: proven learning methods, simple memorization techniques and an instructor who connects the material to your experience. The Security+ Boot Camp is an accelerated path to your Security+ certification.
Why take a Security+ Boot Camp?
A boot camp combines lectures, hands-on labs and practice exams. You learn to assess the security posture of an enterprise environment and recommend and implement appropriate security solutions, monitor and secure hybrid environments, work within governance, risk and compliance requirements, and identify, analyze and respond to security events and incidents.
Who should attend a Security+ Training Course?
IT and security professionals who install, configure and secure systems, applications, networks and devices, perform threat analysis, take part in risk mitigation, and work within applicable policies and laws. CompTIA recommends about two years of experience in a security or systems administrator role.

Benefits of Attending a Security+ Boot Camp
Achieve your goal
It is easier to plan test prep than to do it. When you spend your days making crucial decisions, study plans often lose to fatigue by nightfall. An accelerated in-person Security+ Boot Camp takes the temptation to postpone off the table and gives you space to immerse yourself in the material, so you can be exam-ready in less time than if you studied alone.
Retain more information
Five days give you more than exposure to the concepts on the exam. It is a focused experience with a rigorous schedule. You talk through concepts and situations with your instructor and peers, which grounds your learning so you can recall it when you need it.
Stay focused
An expert instructor who translates concepts into practical terms helps you grasp the content and test your understanding. Studying with peers who share your goals keeps you accountable. It is easy to lose focus alone at your desk with a book.
Connect real-world experience
Your hands-on experience is the most valuable thing you bring. Turning what you know from doing into the principles CompTIA tests can challenge even experienced IT professionals. Your instructor helps you connect that experience to the exam material.
Dedicated support
Every student who completes the Certification Academy Security+ Boot Camp receives one-on-one guidance from their trainer and an individualized learning plan based on their current proficiency and progress toward exam readiness.
